We identified the objectives of the website were to mainly support tendering and to promote Advanced Metalcraft as an experienced, accredited and quality focused supplier.
The target audiences were building contractors and architects who would typically be interested in seeing previous projects, accreditations and company information, we used this information to produce a content plan and website structure that catered to these needs.
Our research found that the target audience, particularly architects, tend to be very visually led. As such, the design of the website used large, high quality photography extensively while keeping text to a minimum, which also helped to punch out clear calls to action.
The website build is responsive, in this case it didn’t just mean making it fit on a smartphone, it also involved optimisation techniques to handle the really large images on smaller screens.
Having control over their website was important to Advanced Metalcraft, so we used SilverStripe (content management system) to make it simple for them to update their website content, add news stories and create new projects in their portfolio.
Advanced Metalcraft are extremely pleased with their website and it has had a positive impact on their business.
