Brown & May are well-known in the East Anglian catering industry. However, the online shop needed to be promoted to a new audience, the public.
The website needed to be clear, easy to use on desktop and mobile, and have a simple buying process. Tempting imagery was also needed to showcase the range of fish, seafood and groceries available.
For Brown & May, stock levels are sometimes unpredictable, so the product listings and availability needed to be easy to update. Delivery had to be flexible too – for the website launch, delivery was limited to Norfolk and Suffolk, and orders required a minimum spend to qualify.
We also needed to get the website live fast. Lockdown is an uncertain time, and many other food suppliers were beginning to offer a home delivery service, so it was important to stay one step ahead of the competition.
