Bateman Groundworks supply ground works and civil engineering services to contractors and developers in the UK.
Their website needed to achieve three goals. Firstly, they wanted to attract high calibre employees. The new site needed to convince people to consider a career or an apprenticeship at Bateman Groundworks.
The second goal was to make them stand out against their competition by showing the value they deliver to their customers. Finally, they wanted the website to communicate their commitment to sustainable practices.
The project started off with a discovery session, which is the first step of our successful FUSION process.
During this session we dug deep into Batemans objectives, services, customers, employees, and competitors.
After gathering all this knowledge, we put a plan together for how the website would be structured, designed, and built.
With one eye on the target audience, our design team created wireframes to get the user journeys right for the target audiences.
Mood boards followed to show different concepts, and these provided the foundation for the website design.
The new site needed to convince people to choose Bateman, either as a supplier or an employer.
This was achieved with bold design, imagery and copy throughout the website.
Combined with content that we know customers want to see, such as benefits, case studies, and accreditations.
To attract new employees, we created appealing content that showed Bateman Groundworks commitment to continuous training, mentorship, a positive working culture and a rewarding career. Not just a job.
We also developed an interactive tool to show the different career paths open to people considering an Apprenticeship.
